A big game from Bryson Currie helped the Pictou County Weeks Major Midgets beat up on the
Sydney Rush on Nov. 10.
In a game played in Membertou, Currie scored five times in an 11-1 pounding of the Rush, Merle Putnam had two goals, and Matthew Hunter, Blake Kontuk, Ryan Green, and Lucas Canning had singles. Hunter and James Harrison each had three assists, while Cale MacLaughlin, Sam Archibald and Kontuk all had two-assists games.
It was the second matchup in two games between the teams. On Saturday, Weeks bagged a 5-2 win over the Rush, with Hunter, Keifer Avry, Brayden Schmitt, MacLaughlin and Landon Sim getting goals. Weeks have won three in a row to improve its Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League won-loss to 7-4-3.
