WESTVILLE ROAD, N.S.

The Junior A Crushers are putting together some wins.

The Crushers upped their win streak to three games with a 4-3 victory over the Yarmouth Mariners on Thursday.

In a Maritime Junior Hockey League contest at the Pictou County Wellness Centre, Andrew Burden scored two goals and assisted on a Sam LeBlanc goal as Pictou County built a 4-1 lead before hanging on in the third period to get the W, being outshot 10-4 over the final 20 minutes.

Burden has five points in the past two games (3G, 2A).

Andrew MacLeod notched his third consecutive win in the Crushers’ net.

Dallas Farrell also tallied for Pictou County (9-7).

Matt Barron had a pair of goals for Yarmouth, and David Vaysberg also scored. The Crushers are at Amherst tonight (Nov. 15) to face the Ramblers and play at the Valley Wildcats on Saturday.
