The New Glasgow Sullivan Fuels went 1 and 2 in Nova Scotia Bluenose League action over the weekend.
Friday night the Fuel were defeated 8-6 by the Stellarton Albions. Ashton Royea was the pitcher of record surrendering 4 hits and 7 runs over 4 innings of work. Adam Farrell had two hits for New Glasgow.
On Saturday, the locals hosted Hammond's Plains for two games. In game one, the A's held off a late comeback by New Glasgow winning 7-6. Jared Langille pitched 6 innings and led the way at the plate going 2 for 2. In game two, New Glasgow scored early and often winning 14-2 in 5 innings. Cory Macgillivray was the winning pitcher while Gage Connors and Tanner Steele each had two hits for the winners.
New Glasgow will wrap up their Bluenose league schedule this week hosting Tri-County for two games on Friday starting at 4 p.m. and Dartmouth for two games on Saturday, starting at noon.
