NEW GLASGOW
The New Glasgow Sullivan Fuels Bantam AA Baseball team picked up three wins this past weekend in Nova Scotia Bluenose League action.
Friday night in Truro, Ashton Royea pitched a complete game for the Fuel to earn the win on the mound, striking out 10 Bearcats and only giving up three hits.
Ethan Tibbetts collected two hits for New Glasgow in their 7-3 win.
On Saturday in Amherst, the locals won by scores of 12-7 and 15-3. Jax Graham and Carter Dickson were the winning pitchers, with relief help from Peyton Clements. In the two games, Gage Connors led the way at the plate with five hits, while Carter Dickson, Tanner Steele, Lane Lochead and Tibbetts had four hits apiece.
This coming weekend, New Glasgow will host the Cape Breton Sooners’ Junior Little League team in exhibition action (July 12 at 6 p.m., and July 13 for a doubleheader starting at 9 a.m.).
All games will be played at the Kinsmen Field in New Glasgow.
