The Ducks averaged over six goals a game in their round robin division and came out flying, scoring two early goals on the Crushers. The Crushers quickly regrouped with strong back checking by the forwards and a strong presence in front of the net by their defence and timely saves by both goaltenders, which kept the mighty Ducks off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game. The Crushers battled back with a total team effort and finally beat the TASA goaltender, five minutes into the third period. The Crushers threw everything they had at the Ducks, even pulled their goaltender in the last minute and had numerous shots at the net, but the final buzzer sounded to end the contest 2–1.

TASA went on to win the championship title over Sackville, 4-2.
