Pictou County goals came from Blake Kontuk in the first and Matt Carson in the third. Kontuk, Carson, and Iain Horton all added assists.

A shaky first period for the Wear Well Bantam Bombers led to a 8-1 defeat at the hands of the Harbour Storm on Saturday.

Wearing their Children’s Wish jerseys, part of a league-wide fundraising effort on behalf of that organization, the Bombers were down 4-0 after the first.

Scott Long had the only goal for the locals in the second period as the home side picked up their intensity, assisted by Colin MacGillivray on a short-handed effort, but the Bombers would get no closer.
