Michael Dill had two goals and two assists, Benji Curtis scored once and set up three others and Ethan Marsh had a one-goal, two-assist afternoon as the Crushers manhandled the Commandos 8-1.
Liam Conrad had given Dieppe a first-period lead, but it would be all Crushers the rest of the way, as the first-place club improved to 19-5-2 in the Maritime Hockey League season.
Dylan Riley had another productive game, potting a pair of goals, while Andrew Murphy and Nick Fewer also scored as Pictou County struck three times on the power play – their roughly 33.3 percentage with the man advantage is easily the best in the MHL; the Truro Bearcats and Campbellton Tigers are second and third respectively and those teams are barely above 20 per cent.
"For the power play it's all about chemistry and knowing the system, both (PP) units go out on the same page," said Dill, who in the past six games has six goals and eight assists.
"You want to have a 'shot' mentality, and not overthink it, so you have to be patient and find the right shot for any guy on the power play."
On Friday in Yarmouth, third-period goals from Andrew Martell and Jordan Messenger snapped a 1-1 tie and the Mariners went on to beat the Crushers 3-1.
"We didn't have an off night, both teams played good," Dill said, "We just didn't capitalize on our opportunities and they did."
Mike Snow also scored for Yarmouth, while Dill replied for Pictou County, who play at home Thursday against the Bearcats.
Notes: Forward Jake Martin suffered a lower body injury on the weekend and there is no timeline for his return.
Defenceman Keven Larouche assisted on two goals.
Goaltender Daniel Vautour was credited with an assist on Marsh's goal.
