ANTIGONISH – The Antigonish Bulldogs finally put out the Pictou County Scotians.
The Bulldogs beat the Scotians 4-1 on Friday at the Antigonish Arena, to take the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League series in six games, after the Scotians had bounced back from a 3-0 series deficit to take the next two games.
Logan Vandemeerakker’s power play goal gave Pictou County a 1-0 lead after the first period of play, but the Bulldogs scored four unanswered: two from Brian MacDougall, and singles from Logan DeYoung and Joshua Cunningham.
Antigonish will now face the Glace Bay Miners for the playoff division title.
