SYDNEY, N.S. –
Keighan DeCoff is a double-medallist from the Legion track and field national competition.
Competing in Sydney this past weekend, DeCoff won gold in the U18 shot put on Aug. 11 with a personal best throw from the Fraser’s Mountain athlete.
The throw of 14.96m is a new U18 provincial record and she won over the second-place finisher by one centimeter. The previous day, DeCoff won a bronze in discus with a 38.84 m throw and another personal best mark.

• Alec Bates U16 high jump: 1.71 a PB and 7th overall.
• Mattea Miller-Evans U16: 80meter hirdles: 19th; 200m hurdles: 12th; high jump: 9th
• Eilidh Cameron U18: high jump - 14th
• Allie Sanduck U18: 3000m - 13th
• Kristen Ross U18: 1500 - 7th a 10 second PB, 800m - 7th a PB
• Ethan MacDonald U18: 1500m 14th, 3000m 11th and a 11 second PB
• Cara MacDonald U16: 300m 6th, 800m 6th
• Conrad Robertson U16 1200m: 27th and a PB; 2000m 15th and a PB; 1500 Steeplechase: 10th and a PB.
• John Luke Taylor U18th 100m: 22nd, 200m: 24th and 4x400m relay team that finished 4th.
• Keighan DeCoff U18 Shot Put: 1st and a PB ranked now # one in Canada and set a Provincial Record. Discus: 3rd and a PB
• Jordyn Ferguson U16 javelin: 6th and Hammer Toss: 8th and a PB
• Gabby Smith U18 javelin: 5th and a PB
