HALIFAX, N.S. – The Pictou County Weeks Major Midgets lost two games this past weekend.

On Sunday, Matthew Hunter had the only goal for Pictou County in a 3-1 loss to the Halifax McDonald’s. Ben Fraser and Drew Harrison had the assists.

That followed Pictou County’s 8-4 loss on home ice Saturday against the Cole Harbour Wolfpack.

Connor MacLeod scored twice for Weeks, Hunter and Sam Archibald had goals and Blake Kontuk, Fraser and Jacob Melanson each had a pair of assists.

Weeks (1-6) will be in Membertou Thursday to play the Cape Breton West Islanders, who top the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League with a 5-1-1 mark.
