Major Midgets split two games with Mustangs

LUNENBURG, N.S. – Lucas Canning scored in overtime as the Pictou County Weeks Major Midgets beat the South Shore Mustangs 5-4 on Jan. 5. 
It was the second goal of the game for Canning, while Sam Archibald scored twice and set up a goal. Riley MacKinnon also tallied for Weeks (16-8-5), and Landon Sim assisted twice.
The previous night, in a game also played in Lunenburg, the Mustangs prevailed 6-4. Sim, Canning and Archibald had single tallies, and Merle Putnam also chipped in with a goal.
