SYDNEY, N.S. — The Panther Classic is down to seven teams for this year’s event.
North Nova Education Centre was originally scheduled to play in the tournament but dropped out of the Glace Bay High School event, organizers announced on Thursday.
The reason for the New Glasgow-based school’s absence was not released to the public.
The tournament will now feature Glace Bay, Sydney Academy, Riverview, Memorial, Dr. J.H. Gillis, Cobequid Educational Centre, and Auburn Drive.
The tournament began Thursday night and runs until Sunday at the Canada Games Complex.
