The Fundy Highland PeeWee AA Selects came out with two wins in exhibition play this weekend.
They began with a 4-3 win over the Cape Breton Blizzards on Oct. 12 at the Hector Arena in Pictou. Ella Fitt and Avery Henderson started the scoring with unassisted goals, and Reese Murray added the final two goals.
Mya MacDonald and Hailey Taylor each had an assist.
On Thanksgiving Monday, the Selects traveled to East Hants to play the Metro West Force Rebels and came out on top with a 5-4 win.
Scoring for the Selects were: Murray and Henderson each with one, Taylor with a pair and MacDonald with an unassisted goal to break the tie and get the win. MacDonald also picked up two assists in the game and Delaney Dean, Allie Williams and Sidney Keay each added helpers.
Kenli Ross and Alana Palmer split the nets for both games.
Regular season league play begins this weekend.
