MOUNT WILLIAM – The Peewee AAA Crushers battled a talented West Hants team in Mainland Peewee AAA League action on the weekend. The Crushers opened at home at the Pictou County Wellness Centre, battling to a 0-0 draw. Jorja Burrows was rock solid in nets for the Crushers, recording the shutout.
In the second game played on Sunday at the Newport Arena, the visiting Crushers where outmatched losing 6-1. Scoring the lone goal for the Crushers Amias Crossman. Assists coming off the sticks Keegan Dalton and Landon Steele.
The Crushers next see action against the Cumberland Ramblers on in Trenton at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday against the Truro Bearcats at the PCWC (5 p.m.).
