WESTVILLE ROAD, N.S. – The Pictou County Peewee AAA Crushers beat up the Cumberland Ramblers in a home-and-home series in Mainland League action.

On Jan. 12 at Amherst Stadium, the Crushers won 8-1. Scoring for Crushers were Cade Moser and Kaden Smith, each with a pair, Lane Sim, Kingsley Austin, Landon Steele and Owen Conrad. Assists came from Clint MacLaughlin (2), Moser (2), Sim, Steele, Austin, Ben Manos, Levon Walst, Wyatt Spence, Keegan Dalton and Caden Campbell.

In a game played on Sunday at the Pictou County Wellness Centre, the hometown Crushers dominated the game from the start. Scoring for the Crushers were Amias Crossman and Wyatt Spence, each with a hat trick, while MacLaughlin had a pair of goals and singles went to Austin, Steele, Smith, and Conrad. Assists came off the sticks of Moser (3), Conrad (2), Crossman, Smith, Spence, Sim, Ben Marchand and Dalton.

The Crushers next see action when they face the Truro Bearcats on Jan. 19 at the Colchester Legion Stadium at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. at the PCWC.
