ANTIGONISH – The Peewee AAA Crushers had two league games just prior to the Christmas break with Truro and Antigonish.

On Dec. 22, the Crushers played the Bearcats in Truro, a tight match with Truros late empty netter resulting in a 2-0 loss for Pictou County. Saturday morning, the Crushers travelled to Antigonish and faced off against the Bulldogs. The game was a hard fought battle that ended in a tough 5-4 loss for Pictou County, when the Bulldogs broke the tie with 43 seconds remaining.

Scoring for the Crushers were Eastyn Cameron and Ben Wallace with a pair each. Assists went to Wallace, Cory MacGillivray, Jayden Duplessis with two and Lane Lochead.

The AAAs will compete in Truros Mike Schmitt Memorial Tournament this weekend.
