The Peewee AAA Crushers captured the silver medal at the Mike Schmitt Memorial Tournament held in Truro on Dec. 29-30, where six teams competed in the Peewee AAA division. The boys had a big win in their first game against East Hants Penguins who currently sit in fourth position in the CMHF. The Crushers dominated the play during their second and third games with Strait Richmond Pirates and Cape Breton West Islanders, winning both handily. These three wins gave them a GO Pass straight into the championship game on Saturday, which ended in a 5-3 decision against a familiar foe, the Antigonish Bulldogs. Team members include, in front row: Jeffrey Quinn, Seth Gallant, Evan Ramsey, Dominic MacKenzie, Cade Moser, Logan Crosby, Ben Manos, Keagan Dalton, Cory MacGillivray and Cameron Boulter. In second row are: Ben Wallace, Eastyn Cameron, Jayden Duplessis, Brendan Avery, Jax Graham, Lane Lochead and Reese Smith, while in back row are coaches Ross MacKenzie, Rick Cameron, Jeff Green, Troy MacDonald and Mike Lochead. Missing from photo is Kaden Smith.
