Boxer Brody Blair is ready to enter the ring again and hopes to be surrounded by familiar faces when he does.
On March 30, Blair will be hosting Boxing Night in Canada Round 2 at the Pictou County Wellness Centre in an event similar to the one he hosted in April 2018 which saw him and several other boxers compete in front of a large Pictou County audience.
Blair, 28, has been undefeated in his pro career, most recently fighting in Halifax where he improved his record to 4-0 in a unanimous decision over a tough opponent.
Already Blair has five fights lined up for this year’s event and is working to secure a sixth. The event will feature a lineup of Canadian versus Mexican opponents.
He said he enjoys boxing in front of a home audience – something he wasn’t able to do often in his amateur career.
“it’s so nice to be able to do this out of home,” he said.
While he keeps his priority on training for the fight, Blair is also involved behind the scenes getting the event organized. He said the sponsorship is coming along well for the event and a matchmaker has found opponents from Mexico that fall in the right experience and weight to make for good fights.
“Pictou County is so supportive for their own,” he said of the support he’s received for the event.
In addition to the fights, the event will feature Ashley George and Hayley MacLeod singing during intermission. DJ Foxy will also be playing throughout the event and Sound Source Pro Audio will be providing audio and lights.

For his own part Blair believes he’s ready to win again.
“Training is going awesome. I feel amazing. I feel super fast, strong and very in shape.”
