TRENTON – The Pictou County Scotians have moved the start time for their Feb. 2 game.
Originally scheled for 7:45 p.m., their contest against the Eskasoni Eagles will begin at 6:15 at Trenton rink.
The Scotians came up short in two Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League games on the weekend.
On Sunday night at Trenton rink, the Scotians lost a 5-3 decision to the Glace Bay Miners. Jeremy McFarlane had two goals and an assist in a losing cause, Ian Keating had a goal and Will Kelly assisted on three Scotians tallies.
On Friday in the Annapolis Valley, the Scotians were doubled 8-4 by the Valley Maple Leafs.
Jacob Pentz had two goals for Pictou County, Kelly and Logan Vande Meerakker also scored and Ian Keating helped set up a pair of goals. Pent has 26 goals on the season – a team high – and McFarlane has 25.
Pictou County will play at the Antigonish Bulldogs Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Antigonish Arena.
The Scotians (13-11) are four points behind the third-place Bulldogs in the standings, but have three games in hand on Antigonish.
