The Pictou County Junior Scotians had an up-and-down weekend.

The Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League club beat the Cumberland County Blues on Nov. 1 in Springhill, with Jared Livingstone, Robert Burrows, Connor Aucoin, Tyler Long and Wayne Denny getting the Scotians goals, and Sebastian Aucoin making 29 saves in the Pictou County bet.

Two nights later in Trenton, the Scotians were outscored 9-6 by the Sackville Blazers. Livingstone, Burrows, Long, Zach Houston, Sebastian Vella, and Briden Hawes had the goals for Pictou County, who trailed 7-1 at the point in the second period.

The Scotians are at the Antigonish Bulldogs on Nov. 8, and hold their usual Sunday home game two nights later (6 p.m. at Trenton rink).
