TRENTON – The Pictou County Scotians are changing their start times for home games.

The Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League club’s Sunday night will now begin at 6 p.m., effective immediately.

General manager Howie Atwater said the change was put in place for a couple of reasons.

“We’re hoping to attract more families with the earlier start time,” he said.

“And it will get the get the players off the road a little earlier in bad weather.”

The Scotians (2-1) are at the East Hants Penguins on Friday, and play the Cumberland County Blues on Sunday in Trenton.
