TRENTON – The losing didn’t last long for the Pictou County Scotians.

After seeing their five-game win streak broken by the Liverpool Privateers on Nov. 24, the Scotians rebounded the next night to claim a 5-3 win over the Sackville Blazers, a game that saw forward Jeremy McFarlane scored four times for the Scotians, upping his goals total to 17 on the season (in 14 games).

Colin Holmes also had a goal for Pictou County, Logan Vandemeerakker and Callum Bouma each had two assists. Goaltender Matt Murray made 38 saves for Pictou County.

Nicholas McFarlane had two for the Blazers.

On Saturday in Liverpool, Cory McCrudden scored the only goal of the game for the Scotians, while Connor Barnhill picked up a hat trick for Liverpool in its 5-1 victory.

The Scotians (11-4) have a home-and-home this coming weekend against the Strait Pirates. The teams play Nov. 30 in Port Hawkesbury, then begin the month of December with a 6 p.m. game at Trenton rink on Sunday.
