The Pictou County Scotians were outscored 19-4 in a two-game stretch in Nova Scotia Junior Hockey league play this past weekend.

On Nov. 15, Pictou County traveled to Port Hawkesbury, and were pounded 12-0 by the Strait Pirates. The Pirates led 8-0 after the first period, as they scored five goals in a four-minute stretch.

The next night in Liverpool, the Scotians lost 7-4 to the Privateers. Connor Aucoin had a goal and two assists for Pictou County, while Parker Stewart, Cory McCrudden and Ryan MacLennan also had goals in a game that saw the Privateers build a 5-2 lead after the opening 20 minutes.

Pictou County, with a 4-10-1 record, next play at home Nov. 24 against Liverpool.
