Selects get win, tie in weekend play

The Fundy Highland Bantam AA Selects recorded a win and tie over the weekend in Provincial AA League play.

On Saturday, the Selects blanked the Valley Wild 3-0.

Olivia Fitt, Julia MacDonald and Ava Genoe were the scorers and assists were provided by Josie Dunn, Jaylen Langille, Bree MacPherson, Ellie Clarke and Sarah Fraser. Gabby Arsenault posted the shutout.

In a battle for first place Sunday, Selects and Metro West Force White skated to a 1-1 draw. Maddie Beson scored the lone goal for the Selects on an assist from Fitt. Metro West Force White leads the Selects by one point in standings and have two games remaining, to the Selects one. The Selects;’ record now stands at 18-3-2 for the season.
