MEMBERTOU, CAPE BRETON – The Northern Subway Selects are heading back to Atlantics.

The AAA Female Midget hockey team defeated the Cape Breton Chevy Panthers 4-0 Friday in Membertou, to sweep the best-of-five series in three games.

Maddie Quinn, KJ Emery, Sophia Wornell, and Eva Wornell supplied the goals for the Selects, and Lily Currie kept her cage clean in the Selects goal to get the shutout.

Atlantics will be in early April in St. John’s, N.L.

The Selects, who finished runners-up a year ago at Atlantics, will hold a barbecue and bottle drive at Kent Building Supplies in Stellarton on March 24th, starting at 10:30 a.m. and running until 4 p.m.

Anyone would like to drop off their returnables early or can't make it on Saturday, can drop them off at Staples on Westville Road at any time.
