STELLARTON

The Stellarton Albions will participate in Baseball Atlantic’s 15U AA Atlantic championships in Conception Bay North, NL this coming weekend.

The Albions have had a strong season and have high expectations coming into the five-team tournament due to their strong team chemistry and the balance and depth of their pitching and hitting.

The Albions earned the right to represent Nova Scotia by capturing the 15U AA Tier 1 Provincial championship on home soil last month, going undefeated in five games.

The Albions record this year is 22-4 and they are peaking at the right time. The team is on an 11-game winning streak and haven't lost since mid-July.

The team has two games on Sept. 13 at 11:30 a.m. versus the Fredericton Royals and 5:30 p.m. against the Conception Bay North Bulldogs. On Saturday, the Albions play the Mount Pearl Blazers at 8 a.m. and the Stratford Athletics at 2 p.m. The xhampionship game is on Sunday at 10 a.m.
