NEW GLASGOW – 

The West Side Community Centre held its 3rd annual Power Play Ball Hockey Tournament June 8-9 in New Glasgow.

The event was a huge success, hosting 31 teams, with more than 275 players ranging in age from 4-17.

A total of 77 games were played on all three rinks. The event is a fundraiser for the community centre's playground upgrades, and has helped the WSCC to purchase an accessible play structure last fall.

This year’s top teams, winning 1st in their division are:

IP Division - Storm

Novice Division - Bardown Benders

Atom Division Tier 1 - Grahams Glass Road Runners

Atom Division Tier 2 - North End Vikings

Peewee Division - North End Beauts

Bantam/Midget Division - Chip and Dips
