NEW GLASGOW: Weekend weather wallop
Let me begin with the good news: it’s going to get warmer, but at what cost? Another fall storm tracking eastward from northern Ontario will bring more wind and rain. Rainfall will be in the 20 to 40 mm range for most. Expect higher amounts – potentially as much as 60 mm along the eastern shore Saturday night into Sunday. A strong south wind will build ahead of the storm system with gusts to 50 or 60 km/h. A wind shift to the north-west will take place early Sunday as the low pulls away. We’re in for a chilly start to the week with cold air funnelling down behind the departing low.
