NEW GLASGOW: Well deserved break for the weekend
The latest in a parade of fall storms are moving out- it will be east of the Avalon by Saturday afternoon. Behind the very messy weather maker, a narrow ridge of high pressure is building in for the weekend. As a cold wind settles in from the west, Nova Scotia can expect gradual clearing. Daytime high temperatures will remain 4 to 6° below seasonal values. The next weather system will be a weak Alberta Clipper. This system will take a more northern track as it races across the region on Monday. A brief period of snow will change to rain as the low pulls away Tuesday morning.
