Michele Lawlor was admiring this busy little bee in her garden near Stratford PEI and no doubt wondering how much longer her lovely flowers would be spared from frost. The pretty plant that’s supplying food to the bee is a chelone glabra, but many of us know it as the turtlehead plant. It does go by many other names including shellflower, snakehead, snakemouth, cod head and fish mouth.
