STELLARTON – Two men are facing drug charges after the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit conducted a stop of a car on Foord Street in Stellarton on Wednesday.
Subsequently, police arrested a 37-year-old man from New Glasgow and a 21-year-old man from Stellarton, who were found in possession of cocaine.
Stellarton Police Service and New Glasgow Regional Police also assisted in the investigation.
As a result of a continued investigation, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Forbes Street in New Glasgow, seizing cocaine, MDMA, psilocybin, cash, and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking, police said in a release.
The 37-year-old has been charged with trafficking cocaine and three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He remains in police custody.
The 21-year-old man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and has been released from custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
